Binky Tupas, the wife of Iloilo Fifth District Representative Raul “Boboy” Tupas, is being pushed to run for Provincial Board member in the 2022 elections.
No less than Binky’s brother-in-law Fifth District Board Member Darl Tupas, who already decided not to seek reelection next year, is pressing her.
Aside from Darl, Binky also secured the support of the Liga ng mga Barangay in the Fifth District.
Binky is an architect by profession. She is also a businesswoman.
The Tupas couple has yet to issue an official statement regarding this political development in the district.
There were also reports that aside from Binky, political leaders in the Fifth District are likewise pushing Sara Sangguninang Bayan member Francis Salcedo for Provincial Board member.
Francis is the son of former Fifth District Board Member Dagol Salcedo.
The province’s Fifth District is composed of 11 towns namely Barotac Viejo, San Rafael, Lemery, Ajuy, Sara, Estancia, Balasan, San Dionisio, Batad, Concepcion, and Carles.IMT
