Be role models, Iloilo City village officials told

Liga ng mga Barangay-Iloilo City president Irene Ong expressed disappointment over the alleged involvement of a village chief in pilfering electricity.

“Modelo kamo (village officials) dapat. Kay karon kon kamo mismo naga-obra jumper, ano pagsaway niyo sa mga pumuluyo niyo nga indi magjumper kay si Kap gani ga amo man,” said Ong.

Last week, the apprehension team of More Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) found an illegal connection in the house of San Juan, Molo Punong Barangay Pascual Espinosa.

Ong reminded the barangay officials that MORE Power, the city’s sole power distributor, is relentless in its crackdown on illegal power connections.

“Ginahambalan man na sila nga strikto na subong ang MORE and serious na,” said Ong, who is also an ex-officio member of the City Council.

“Indi kamo magsiling nga gapanago kamo indi kamo makita kay mismo inyo tawo da gapanugid,” she continued.IMT
