A native of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo is among the topnotchers of the March 2022 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE).
Ma. Phoebe Subo, a graduate of West Visayas State University (WVSU) in La Paz, Iloilo City, ranked eighth with a rating of 87.08 percent. She shared the spot with Jaikishin Uttmani Ahuja of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila.
The results of the examination were released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Friday night, March 18.
A total of 1,427 out of 2,837 examinees passed the PLE conducted in 13 areas, including Iloilo, on March 6, 7, 13, and 14.
Subo, who belonged to the College of Medicine Class of 2020, said she did not expect to be included in the Top 10.
She was supposed to take the board exam in September 2021, but she got sick almost a week before the schedule.
“Nagdecide ko not to take nalang danay. I re-enrolled sa akon previous review center for March and followed nalang gid their schedule,” said Subo.
“I’m hoping to get into a residency program sa Benito (West Visayas State University Medical Center) once open na,” she added.IMT
