Almost half of COVID-19 patients in Iloilo province recover

Almost half of the coronavirus-positive patients in the province of Iloilo have recovered from the infectious disease.

The Department of Health (DOH-6) reported on Saturday, April 25, six new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) recoveries in the province.

The latest survivors are residents of the towns of Lambunao and Pavia. These include the following: 

Lambunao
◾39-year-old female
◾41-year-old male
◾70-year-old female
◾48-year-old female

Pavia
◾50-year-old male
◾52-year-old female

The first three recoveries in the province are residents of Guimbal (2) and Miagao (1).

The province has a total of 19 cases of COVID-19, with four deaths. The fatalities are from Barotac Nuevo, Guimbal, Miagao, and Lambunao.

The DOH-6 also confirmed the recovery of four COVID-19 patients from Bacolod City (2), Capiz (1), and (Antique (1).

Overall, the Western Visayas region, which has 58 cases, registered 24 recoveries.

On the other hand, the death toll in the region increased to nine with one new fatality from Capiz.IMT
