All the four patients who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas are in stable condition, according to the Department of Health (DOH-6).
Based on the latest bulletin issued by the DOH-6, the health of the first COVID-19 patient in the region is “improving.”
Confined at Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital in Bacolod City, the patient took a second testing and now waiting for the result.
The second COVID-19 patient from Guimbal town, in Iloilo province no longer needs a mechanical ventilator.
The patient is confined at The Medical City Iloilo (TMCI). His wife tested negative for COVID-19.
The third patient is from Iloilo City. She is also confined at TMCI.
The fourth patient is the first positive case in the province of Capiz.
The DOH-6 said people who came in contact with the patients were already traced. Majority of them are asymptomatic or have not experienced any symptom of the disease.
As of March 25, the DOH-6 recorded 233 patients under investigation (PUIs). Fifty of them are from Iloilo province, 44 from Aklan, 31 from Iloilo City, 30 from Capiz, 28 from Bacolod City, 24 from Negros Occidental, 19 from Antique, and 2 from Guimaras.
Of the total PUIs, 104 tested negative, 77 were discharged, 78 are currenty confined at different hospitals and 73 are classified as outpatient.IMT
