The number of active indigenous or local cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Iloilo has spiked to 32.

The July 4 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6) showed that the province of Iloilo has 17 active cases while Iloilo City has 15 active cases, four of which are new infections.

The latest cases in the city involved a 21-year-old male from Lapuz district, a 60-year-old female from Jaro district, a 46-year-old male and a 33-year-old female, both from City Proper.

In the province, majority of the active cases involved residents of Alimodian town.

All in all, Iloilo logged 75 indigenous cases of COVID-19. Of the number, 38 have recovered while five have died.

Meanwhile, Iloilo recorded 65 active cases involving repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and locally stranded individuals (LSIs). 

Broken down, 39 are in the province while 26 are in the city.
