The number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the province of Iloilo is now more than 6,000.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) has recorded a total of 6,051 active infections as of Sep. 4.
The town of Oton accounted for the highest number of active cases in the province at 635, followed by Pavia with 401 active cases.
Other towns with high number of active case are Santa Barbara with 327; Miagao, 275; Lambunao, 263; Pototan, 251, Passi City, 243; Guimbal, 222; San Joaquin, 213; and Janiuay, 212.
The active cases comprise 24 percent of the 25,395 confirmed cases of COVID-19 logged in the province since pandemic started in March last year, while the recoveries and deaths compose 74 percent and 2 percent, respectively, of the total case count.
The province is currently under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).IMT
