The number of active coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Iloilo City has crossed the five thousand mark on Friday, Jan. 28.
The Department of Health (DOH-6) reported 412 new infections, raising the city’s total active caseload to 5,086.
All in all, the city logged 27, 325 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 22,686 recoveries and 640 deaths.
Iloilo province registered the second-highest active cases in Western Visayas with 3,775, followed by Negros Occidental (3,116), Bacolod City (2,388), Aklan (2,155), Capiz (1,706), Antique (1,595), and Guimaras (149).
The whole region, which is currently under Alert Level 3, has a total of 19,970 active COVID-19 cases.IMT
