Three Iloilo City graduates topped the September 2021 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) – Secondary Level.
Bryan Paul Landar Espinosa, an alumnus of Central Philippine University (CPU), ranked sixth with a rating of 92 percent.
The Passi City native graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education, major in English.
Espinosa also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy degree and master’s degree in Education, major in English as a Secondary Language from the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV).
On the other hand, Karen Mallorca Gardose, an Applied Mathematics graduate from West Visayas State University (WVSU), ranked ninth with a rating of 91.40 percent.
Gardose, said making it to the Top 10 of the board exam “was a dream come true for her.”
“I’m beyond grateful to God for allowing me to become a Licensed Professional Teacher in His perfect timing. Seeing my name on the list of top 10 examinees who garnered the highest percentage was a dream come true for me,” she told IMT NEWS.
“Indeed, with God all things are possible. I just want to tell everyone that it’s not me all this time but it’s God who work in my midst. I know He has a purpose for allowing this to happen,” she continued.
Gardose is a special science teacher at Agdayao Integrated Schoo in Passi City.
Taking the tenth spot was Shenry Jun Antiza Esparagoza, also an alumnus of CPU, with a passing rate at 91.20 percent.
Meanwhile, WVSU topped the list of best performing schools with a passing rate of 91.55 percent.
