A convenience store in Leon, Iloilo lost more than P600,000 after it was ransacked by unidentified men early Monday morning, Oct. 11.

According to Police Lieutenant Melchor Tolentino, Leon Municipal Police Station chief, the robbers destroyed the vault, which contained P609,000 in cash.

Based on initial investigation, the suspects broke in through the back door of the 7-Eleven store.

It was around 6 a.m. when Ronelyn Alolor, one of the store employees, noticed that the door was forcibly opened.

The 28-year-old worker from Barangay Alolor, Buga, Leon was also shocked to see the vault empty.

Tolentinos said their investigation is ongoing to find out the suspects’ identities.IMT
