The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province of Iloilo is now at 13.
The province recorded one new positive case on Tuesday, April 7.
The new COVID-19 patient is a 25-year-old female from the town of Barotac Nuevo in the Fourth District.
The Department of Health (DOH-6) said the patient, who is currently confined at a hospital, had no close contact with the first COVID-19 patient in the town.
The patient’s travel history is yet to be determined by the DOH-6.
According the health department, the patient is in “stable condition.”
The first COVID-19 patient in Barotac Nuevo, a 59-year-old female, died on April 5.
The other patients infected with the disease in the province are from Lambunao (6), Guimbal (3) and Miagao (2).
The total cases include three deaths from Lambunao, Guimbal and Barotac Nuevo.
So far, the province has no recoveries .IMT
