The first patient who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas is now on the road to full recovery.
The second swab testing conducted on the 56-year-old man confined at a hospital in Bacolod City yielded negative results.
This was confirmed on Sunday, March 29, by Dr. Grace Tan, spokesperson of Bacolod City’s Interagency Task Force Against COVID-19.
The testing was done by medical technologists at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City.
