Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, Police Regional Office (PRO-6) director, is “dissatisfied” with the pace of investigation on the killing of three young businessmen in the town of Estancia, Iloilo.

“Personally, nababagalan talaga ako,” Francisco said in an interview on IMT Conversations yesterday, Oct. 5.

The investigation is being conducted by a task group headed by Colonel Adrian Acollador, Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director.

Francisco said he met with the 19-man Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) last week to discuss the progress of the investigation.

“I give them some points kung paano ito (investigation) mapabilis. Mga pwedeng gawin ng mga imbestigador sa ground. We need quality investigation on this. Dapat maging maayos ang investigation,” he shared

“May mga sinabi silang suspects and they are checking on those personalities. Ang sa akin kasi dapat tumpak, hindi pwedeng magtuturo ka lang para lang masolve itong kaso. I will not allow that,” Francisco added.

The PRO-6 director is planning to visit Estancia this week to directly ask updates from their personnel conducting the investigation on the ground.

The fatalities in the Sept. 14 shooting incident were identified as Chrysler Floyd Fernandez, 27, of Barangay Jereos, La Paz, Iloilo City; Jan Paul Mark Bosque, 28, of Lopez Jaena Sur, Lapuz, Iloilo City; and Mark Clarence Libao, 24, of Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro, Iloilo City.

Only Jevron Parojinog, 24, of Barangay Villa Pani-an, Estancia survived the incident. He was taken into police custody for investigation.

The four were onboard a white Isuzu MUX when motorcycle-riding gunmen fired shots at them in Barangay Villa Pani-an at around 12:30 a.m.

The task group is eyeing three possible motives – “robbery, hatred, and business interest.”IMT
