94-year-old retired UPV professor gets vaccinated

Retired University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) professor Corazon G. Defensor, 94, never hesitated to have herself vaccinated when she was given a schedule to receive her jab at the UPV Iloilo City campus vaccination site today, July 27, 2021.

Since she is bedridden, Dr. Ray Alindong, a member of the UPAA Iloilo Chapter, inoculated her in her vehicle. She was given all the comfort she needed and was assisted by UPFight Iloilo’s Gemma Agudo. She was brought to the vaccination site by her daughter, Mary Ann, also an alumna of UPV.

This is a reminder to our senior citizens out there that it is never too late to be vaccinated and do their share in the world’s quest for normalcy.
