Eight towns in the province of Iloilo are now free of COVID-19 infections.
Based on data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Balasan, Bingawan, Guimbal, Leganes, Mina, San Enrique, San Rafael, and Tubungan have zero active COVID-19 cases as of June 15.
All COVID-19 patients in these towns have already recovered from the viral disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
On the other hand, the town of Oton remains to have the highest number of active cases in the province with 18.
Pavia came in second with 15 active cases, followed by Sara with 14, and Leon and Pototan with 12 each.
All in all, the province logged 45,257 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 43,622 have recovered, 1,467 have died and 179 are active cases.IMT
