Five graduates of the University of San Agustin (SanAg) in Iloilo City are topnotchers in the August 2023 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination.

Gabriel Martin Quevenco Canillas ranked second in the board exam given by Board of Medical Technology in 16 testing centers all over the country. He got a score of 92.70 percent.

Frances Therese Castillo Carbon occupied the fourth spot with a rating of 92.30 percent while Mary Joyden Ruiz Solocasa ranked seventh with a rating of 92.00 percent.

Mera O’neille Dequito Garachico and Brian Adisson Garin Pe, ranked ninth (91.90 percent) and tenth (91.70 percent), respectively.

Meanwhile, SanAg ranked third in the list of the top performing schools after 192 or 94.58 percent of its 203 examinees passed the exam.

A total of 3,982 out of 5,401 examinees passed the exam, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The results were released by the PRC on Thursday night, Aug. 17.

“Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70 percent can register as Medical Laboratory Technician,” PRC said.IMT
