Moreover, 24 jins have also passed the Advance Kyorugi/Poomsae online class. The primary goal of this online class is to encourage kids to exercise and to be positively active while under ECQ (enhanced community quarantine), as they learn the benefits of Taekwondo Sports Programs like self defense and character building. With this, they could avoid too much exposure to gadgets and having sedentary lifestyle.

For Cachero, the advantages of online training are the safety of all taekwondo jins and intructors as well, and it is very efficient that it doesn’t require to going out.

“My experience in the online class taught me how to be patient, responsible, and disciplined. It is also a way to divert my mind in what is happening right now, it helps me strengthen my mind, body, and faith that all of these will surpass. I also learned a valuable lesson that throughout this pandemic, we have to keep in mind that the health of our body is important,” he added.

The native of Leon, Iloilo also said that the disadvantages of online class include the struggles of some in remote places as it is hard to join online classes because the wifi connection is very weak and not accessible. And because of limited training space, it is hard to move freely.

His mom, Richel, said the performance in online classes was okay but very different from face to face because the instructors can focus and can easily correct mistakes because it is clearly seen.

“Nevertheless, my son strives harder to perfect coach Mark’s training routine. It also affects his character because online classes require focus, discipline, responsibility and healthy mind. It makes Joshua’s performance better and still on progress. The online class was okay, the fact that it is a means of communication between intructor and jins. The communication was better because the jins are monitored to maintain the health of their body and it also serves as an exercise. Overall, the online class was a success and it really helped the jins and instructors as well in terms of communication and guidance,” she shared.IMT
