Three universities in Iloilo City emerged as top performing schools in the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).
Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) ranked second in the Elementary Level with a passing rate of 97.80 percent or 89 of the 91 examinees from the school passed.
West Visayas State University (WVSU) claimed the fourth spot. A total of 127 or 95.18 percent of its 133 takers made the cut.
The University of Iloilo (UI) secured the seventh spot with a passing rate 94.44 percent. Of its 72 graduates who took the exam, 68 passed.
In the Secondary Level, WVSU made it to the list of top performing schools. It ranked fifth with a passing rate of 94.66 percent or 248 of the 262 examinees passed.
A total 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees and 48,005 secondary teachers out of 102,272 examinees passed the board exam.
