Two more patients diagnosed with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) died in Western Visayas.

The latest fatalities, based on the July 19 bulletin issued by the Department of Health (DOH-6), involved a 70-year-old male from Iloilo City and a 64-year-old male from Bacolod City.

The DOH-6 also reported 26 new confirmed cases of the disease and 33 new recoveries.

Of the additional COVID-19 patients, 14 are from Negros Occidental, 5 from Bacolod City, 4 from Capiz, and 3 from Iloilo province.

Meanwhile, the newly recovered patients are from Iloilo province (17), Negros Occidental (10), and Iloilo City (6).

Western Visayas currently has a total of 763 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 410 recoveries, 14 deaths, and 336 active cases.IMT
