More sports actions in Iloilo City this summer season.
This, after the City Sports Development Division prepared various online games for the Ilonggos.
One of the highlights of the sporting events was the arnis competition dubbed Iloilo City’s first virtual arnis competition organized by the City Sports Development Division on May 7 to 9.
Showcasing the famous venue for leisure and sports, a total of 11 teams will try to impress at the Esplanade Skate Park. They will showcase the best of the national martial art of the Philippines.
Executive Assistant for Sports and Youth Rudiver Jungco Sr. said online events done by the office were virtual arnis, virtual skateboarding and virtual freestyle football. They already collected entries from the players and have it scheduled for uploading and streaming.
Games like virtual freestyle football and skateboarding were already posted on the Iloilo Sports Division’s Facebook page for the viewers to be entertained.
Aside from sports, an online rap song writing competition will be included which will help young Ilonggo musicians to showcase their talent.IMT
