Nineteen business establishments in Pavia have so far have passed the Safety Seal Certification program in the town.
These establishments have complied with the government’s minimum public health standards including adopting the StaySafe.ph contact tracing app.
According to Welalie Cloven Lasaleta, Pavia’s licensing officer/BPLO-designate, there are still 34 more establishments that submitted their applications for safety seals and they are still being assessed.
“May ara na checklist ang DILG nga ginhatag para ma-assess cla. Ang pinaka-importante gd is dapat may ara StaySafe.ph QR Code ang isa ka establishment,” she Lasaleta.
Lasaleta noted that there are actually 14 items in their checklist that should be complied by the establishments for them to pass the program.
“Dapat ginapractice nila ang minimum health protocols like availability of thermal gun/scanner, availability of handwashing station/alcohol or sanitizers,” she added.
To note, Pavia Mayor Luigi G. Gorriceta issued Executive Order No. 036- 2021 or an order enforcing strict continual compliance with the minimum public health standards in the operation of business establishments and major public places through the Safety Seal Certification program.
The program aims to assure consumers and the public in general of establishments’ compliance with the minimum public health standards set by the government.
It also encourages business establishments to adopt and use the StaySafe.ph digital contact tracing application to effectively contain the spread of COVID-19 and to safely reopen the economy.
The program is a joint effort of the national and local government.
The validity of the Safety Seal is six months and will be renewable depending on the compliance of establishments to the minimum public health standard.IMT
