13-hour brownout to hit parts of Iloilo City on May 31

A 13-hour brownout will affect several areas in Iloilo City on Sunday, May 31.

Power consumers in the following areas will experience the scheduled power interruption from 4 a.m. to 5p.m.:

In an advisory, power distributor MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) said the power disruption is due to “comprehensive preventive and parallel corrective maintenance” works.

“Kinahanglan nagid nga magpatigayon sang comprehensive preventive maintenance sa [20MVA City Proper Substation] agud malikawan ang mas malawig kag mas lapnagon nga power outage,” MORE Power explained.

“Kun indi ini pagkay-uhon, posible ini nga maglupok kun sa diin mas dako ang mangin problema sini kag mas malawig nga power interruption ukon brownout ang aton nga ma-eksperiyensiyahan,” it added.IMT
