A total of 109 health workers in Iloilo City have so far received their booster shots or third dose of COVID-19 vaccines as added protection against the viral disease.
The city government on Thursday, Nov. 18, began administering COVID-19 booster shots for health workers who have completed their primary series or six months after getting their second dose.
These health workers received their booster shots in different vaccination sites of the city – 28 from the University of San Agustin, 26 from Megaworld, 7 from SM City, 30 from Robinsons Place Jaro, and 18 from Ateneo de Iloilo.
Mayor Jerry Treñas said the city government also provides the vaccines to hospitals and district health centers to speed up the booster shot vaccination rollout.
After the health workers, Treñas said they are eyeing to give booster doses to the general population and minors.IMT
