Basketball games are all around the corner to give entertainment to the Ilonggos after almost three years of pandemic.
This is the main purpose why sportsman Bayani RH Ladrido organized the Iloilo Schools Development Basketball Tournament U-17 boys.
With 10 powerhouse teams competing against each other, the tournament kicked off at the Ledesco Campus of Hua Siong College of Iloilo.
The competing squads are comprised of Iloilo City-based high school basketball teams which have been divided into two groups.
In Group A, Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix will try to eke-out Sun Yat Sen High School A, Mandurriao National High School, Integrated Academy School System, and Ateneo de Iloilo.
Sun Yat Sen High School B, Santa Clarita International School Primes, St. Robert’s International Academy Panda Rockets, PAREF Westbridge School Iloilo, and Central Philippine University Golden Lions will compete in the Group B.
Top teams from each group will automatically advance to the semifinal round while the second and third teams from each group will play in crossover format with the two surviving teams competing in the semifinals round and later in the championship round.
All games in the Iloilo Schools Development Basketball Tournament U-17 boys will be played every Saturday and Sunday, except for two weekday games before the 2022 break.IMT Sports
